Awqaf Minister Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa mourned on Friday the killing of police personnel in a shootout in the desert of El-Wahat.

In statements to MENA, Gomaa termed as "heroes" the martyrs of the police, urging to fiercely fight terrorists and those who support them.

He offered his condolences to the bereaved families of the martyrs, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. 

He asserted that terrorism will be uprooted from Egypt, thanks to the unbreakable will of the people to build their country.
