Cairo - Arab Today
Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Tuesday condemned the series of bombing that hit the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Monday.
In a statement by the Arab League, Abul Gheit said that Daesh attempts to destabilize security and spread unrest in Baghdad were meant to ease the pressure the terrorist group was facing in Mosul.
The top Arab diplomat stressed that such terrorist organizations were totally rejected by the Arab governments and peoples.
He expressed confidence that the Mosul operation would be successful and the terrorist groups would be completely uprooted.
The Arab League is in solidarity with the Iraqi government and people in their fight against terror, Abul Gheit said.
