President Mahmoud Abbas offered condolences to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi over the death of renowned poet Abdel Rahman El Abnoudi.

In a cable of condolences to President Sisi, Abbas paid kudos to the late poet for his support to the Palestinian people.

In the cable, Abbas said the Palestinians lost a dear friend and national struggler who will always be remembered.
