Pope Tawadros II of Alexandria and Patriarch of St Mark's Diocese on Saturday sent a cable of congratulations to Rev. Andrea Zaki for his election as new head of the Evangelical community in Egypt.
He also sent a similar cable to Rev. George Shaker who was elected deputy head of the the Evangelical community.
In a third cable, the pope thanked outgoing head of the Evangelical community Rev. Safwat Bayadi.
