Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met with Saudi King Salman as Egypt's top diplomat took part in the funeral of former Saudi foreign minister Saud al-Faisal.

Shoukry conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's heartfelt condolence to the king over the death of Al-Faisal.

Shoukry also met with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Nayef and his Saudi counterpart Adel al-Jubeir.

Al-Faisal, the world’s longest-serving foreign minister and passed away on Thursday, was laid to rest in Makkah on Saturday.
