Supermodel Claudia Schiffer epitmoizes the stylish mom London - Arabstoday Veteran model Claudia Schiffer can still show girls less than half her 40 years a thing or two about looking good in front of a photographer\'s lens. Still in high demand as a model after 23 years in the business, she has recently clocked up campaigns for Chanel, Ferragamo and Yves Saint Laurent. And now, having amassed an estimated £40 million fortune from her striking Bardot-esque looks, and starred on over 500 magazine covers, she is moving on to the next stage of her career - as a knitwear designer. As Schiffer\'s debut collection of uncomplicated, \'effortless and chic\' knits are about to hit the market; she talked to Harper\'s Bazaar about her plans for the label. And who better to model the line than its designer and muse? The label was born out of Schiffer\'s desire to find knitwear that fitted into her super-stylish, busy life, without compromising on the details, or as she puts it, an obsession with \'ticking all the boxes\'. So knicker and bra strap flashing is out (\'I hate when you can see a bra!\'), but then that\'s never been Claudia\'s style. Since settling in London with her British husband, X-Men: First Class and Kick Ass director Matthew Vaughn, she has cultivated a paparazzi fan club who document her every look from their camp outside the Notting Hill Schools where Schiffer, Stella McCartney and Elle Macpherson send their children. But unlike fellow supermodel Macpherson, who loves nothing more than putting on the glitz for the snappers, Schiffer\'s style, although flawless, is never showy. \"You can\'t be too over-dressed or too sexy on the school run,\' she says. \'It\'s about being practical and comfortable.\" Something which only Schiffer could pull off, while still managing to look every inch a devastatingly chic bombshell. Talking of which… while they had her time, Bazaar also got Schiffer to do what she does best for their lead fashion shoot \'Summer Goddess\'. Stripped back to colourful summer dresses and sexy swimwear, her enviable figure and youthful looks make for a modelling masterclass. Hey, Claudia, if that whole knitwear thing doesn\'t work out… From The Telegraph
