Matt's mansion in Santa Monica

Matt\'s mansion in Santa Monica Given that his show is one of the longest running on television since its debut in 1989, Matt Groening can well afford to buy himself a house or two. The 57-year-old cartoonist/producer has reportedly purchased a monstrous $12million mansion in idyllic Santa Monica, California. The mansion appears to have several wings, a garden, tennis courts and a swimming pool. It also has five bedrooms, though he is divorced and has two grown sons, Homer and Abe. Although his new home would be an exorbitant amount of money for most to spend on a home, it\'s very nearly chump change for the millionaire. He is estimated to be worth $500 million. In addition to “The Simpsons”, he also developed the cartoon Futurama with former Simpsons writer David X. Cohen. He has won twelve Primetime Emmy Awards for his series: ten for the Simpsons and two for Futurama.
