UN Special Envoy to Syria Staffan De Mistura started a meeting with the Syrian delegation representing the government in the Kazakhstan’s capital of Astana on Monday.

The meeting comes before an hour from the launch of Astana meeting scheduled to discuss the ways to achieve peace in Syria and consolidate the ceasefire agreement concluded between Russia, Turkey and Iran.
