Aref said that the media in all its means provides various information and provides support to the family, so it is necessary to specialize in the field of family media because it is one of the most urgent and necessary areas in the media, stressing that it has become a means to advance and develop and protect the Arab family.

She pointed out that the various media, especially televisions, are positive and negative. The advantages are reflected in the fact that it provides the family with a wealth of useful and necessary information to build and guide the affairs of the Arab family. In most of our studies and research we focused on the impact of media on children, she added.

Aref considered that the media in our time is one of the necessities of contemporary life. "It is indispensable for the individual and the society." "It is the link between what is going around us and after the great spread of the various means of entertainment, but it is now a means of learning, educating, developing and brainwashing," Aref stated.

She noted that family media must discuss, present and analyze negative phenomena in societies in a civilized and effective manner. Aref said television is one of the most important educational, entertainment and media tools for young and old, to the extent that it is the first place in terms of influence in children.

Aref pointed out that it is necessary for the directors, producers and programmers to follow the principle of evaluation of their programs, whether they reached their goal or not by conducting scientific and exploratory studies that include viewers to know the extent of the results and effects.
