A barge loaded with crude oil caught fire off the Texas coast, leaving one crew member dead and another missing.
More than 133,000 barrels of crude were on the barge when the fire broke out at 4:30 am (local time), Radio Sawa quoted officials as saying on Saturday.
Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Port Aransas, Rick Adams confirmed the death saying that the search continues for the missing crew member while names of the victims were not immediately identified.
About six crew members out of eight have been rescued with no serious injuries, Adams added.
