Cairo - Al Khateib Gamal
Egyptian footballer Ahmed Doweidar stressed that it was not his desire to leave Egypt’s Zamalek team, while he was forced to take a new experience due to his lack of participation in the team’s starting line in the matches. He added, “Zamalek’s administrative official Ismail Yussef demanded me to renew my contract with the team, while I refused.”
He added that Zamalek’s official promised to give him the captaincy, while he refused preferring to join Smouha football team. He revealed that he received offer from Egypt’s Ahly Sporting Club through his agent to join the club by the end of this season.
He added that the players have no loyalty to any team, while they are loyal to the fans, saying that Zamalek’s leader Shikabala signed before on contracts to join Ahly. He added, “I respect my contract with Smouha. I have an offer from Ahly, while we are still in the phase of negotiations.”
He rebuked Zamalek’s board for abandoning the team’s former Coach Ferreira, describing the decision as one of the major mistakes committed by the team administration.
