Egyptian gymnastics player Nourhal Khattab

Egyptian gymnastics player Nourhal Khattab impressed the Arab audience with her talent in “Arabs Got Talent” TV competition, where she made actor Ahmed Helmy praise her flexibility and promise to attend all of her shows. She presented Egypt in many African and international championships and won great number of them.
 
She said in a statement to “Arab Today” that she always ranked first in the last few years. She was ranked first in African championships in “teams under 16” category, and first and second in “Above 16” category. She also participated in World championships in Turkey and Germany where she was ranked in the top 3.

She said she started practicing gymnastics when she was three years old, and it took her 3 years to turn it from hobby to a career, as she started participating in competitions when she was 6 years old, which made her won a number of Egyptian championships and was ranked first in Africa in gymnastics.

Her parents encouraged her to participate in “Arabs Got Talent”, where she impressed the judges from the auditions in Egypt to the final show in Beirut. She remembers all of the judges’ comments on her talent, as Ahmed Helmy said she is very light with a great fitness, and Nagwa Karam praised Egypt for presenting such talent, and Ali Gaber confirmed that she belongs to this show because of her professional performance.

She expressed her happiness for participating in the show, as it gave her new experience different from her usual competitions, confirming that, her participation in the show wasn’t for fame, but for spreading rhythmic gymnastics in the Arab world, as a lot of people aren’t familiar with this sport.

The absence of her father was a great factor in her sportive life and was the reason she started playing gymnastics. On the other hand, her mother always supported her and encouraged her to do her best in gymnastics. She expressed her wish to participate in Tokyo Olympic Games 2020, confirming that, it is a hard task and it will be a great achievement for her if she managed to qualify to the tournament.
