Jerusalem - Arab Today
An Israeli court on Thursday morning issued a recommendation that Israeli authorities should return the bodies of Palestinians killed within the past seven months, within 30 days from now, before the start of the month of Ramadan.
According to court, the recommendation came as it would be hard for the Israeli police to return the bodies during Ramadan at night, since the movement is bigger during night hours. The procedures will be carried during the night and only 30 people are allowed to participate in the funerals.
The bodies will be returned gradually, and they will be taken out of refrigerators 48 hours before the handing.
This move is anticipated to be put in action within the next week.
Israel is still detaining bodies of 18 Palestinians, including Thaer Abu Ghazaleh who was killed on 8 October 2015.
12 of them are from Jerusalem, two from its districts, and four others are from the occupied West Bank.
Those also include a Palestinian pregnant woman who was killed with her little brother about two weeks ago in Qalandia checkpoint
