Washington - MENA
US President Barack Obama made a phone call on Friday with U.S. House Speaker John Boehner to discuss the framework agreement concluded between Iran and the six world powers over its nuclear program.
In a statement, Obama said that he would stay in contact with some congressional leaders over the new agreement.
"If Congress kills this deal not based on expert analysis, and without offering any reasonable alternative, then it's the United States that will be blamed for the failure of diplomacy," he said. "International unity will collapse, and the path to conflict will widen", Obama added.
