A Turkish court Monday sentenced the self-confessed murderer of ethnic Armenian journalist Hrant Dink to almost 23 years in prison. The court initially condemned Ogun Samast to life, but reduced the sentence to 21-and-a-half years on grounds he was underage at the time of the 2007 murder, and give him an additional 16-month-jail term for possession of an unlicensed weapon.
