Ramallah - Arab Today
Israeli settlers, backed by special Israeli units, forced their way into Al Aqsa Mosque compound on Thursday through Bab El Maghraba.
The occupation forces, meanwhile, continued banning more than 50 female Muslims from entering Al Aqsa Mosque, Muslims' third holiest site after Masjid al-Haram in Mecca and Masjid al Nabawi in Medina, forcing the non-violent Muslim worshipers to stage protests near the gates.
The new storming of settlers comes at a time the Alleged Temple organizations have been calling, through the social media, for more stormings to mark the new Hebrew Year to fall on Sunday.
The Jewish organizations said they will cooperate with Israeli police to facilitate the entry of Jews into the mosque compound and ban male and female Muslim protesters, known as Mourabitoun, from entering the mosque during the celebrations.
Meanwhile, PLO Executive Committee member Ahmed Korei warned of Israeli measures to divide the mosque like what they did in Al Harm Al Ibrahimi in Hebron in preparation for fully laying their hands on the mosque to build the alleged temple.
The repeated Israeli violation of the mosque, their ban of Muslim worshipers from entering it, the continued closure of the holy place for long periods and their allowance of settlers to freely march through the compound yards come as part of Israeli schemes to divide it.
He urged Arab and Islamic nations to stand by the Palestinians against such a racist aggression targeting Al Aqsa Mosque.
