Israeli gunboats fired at Palestinian fishermen's boats

Israeli gunboats fired at Palestinian fishermen's boats off the shore off Al Sudaniya in northwestern Gaza on Sunday, but no casualties were reported.

Two fishing boats were damaged in the Israeli attack.

Under the Oslo accord signed in 1993, fishing is allowed 20 miles off the enclave.

Yet, the Israeli gunboats always attack the Gazan fishermen at a six-mile distance.

According to official figures, there are 3,500 fishermen in the Gaza Strip.
