Israeli artillery shelled a Palestinian resistance position in central Gaza late on Sunday, Palestinian sources said.

The shelling came in response to a rocket attack fired from the Gaza Strip targeting Israel. The rocket fell in an open area in the Eshkol region of southern Israel.

In response, Israel destroyed a Hamas watch tower in central Gaza Strip.
