Israeli forces Tuesday overnight detained 16 Palestinians, including four minors and the wife of a local prominent activist, and summoned two others from a number of West Bank districts, said security sources and local activists.
Six Palestinians were detained from Jenin, two others from Qalqiliya, another from Nablus, another from Ramallah, three others from Jerusalem, two others from Bethlehem and another from Hebron.
In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, forces detained three minors after breaking into and ransacking their family houses in Yaabad town, southwest of the city.
The detainees were identified as Mahmoud Hamarsha, 16, Amjad Hamarsha, 16, and Fadel Turkman, 16.
Forces also detained Tareq Belalu, 20, after storming and ransacking his family house in Jenin refugee camp.
Another Palestinian from the refugee camp was detained while he attempted to cross a checkpoint near Tulkarem city.
He was identified as Hammudi Ubeid, 25.
This came several hours after Ruwaida Abu Mwais, 42, who comes from al-Mughaiyir village, southeast of Jenin, was detained from the Jerusalem town of Abu Dis.
To the south of Jenin, in Qalqiliya district, forces launched a house-to-house raid operation in Azzun town, east of Qalqiliya city.
Large troops stormed the town and broke into at least 16 houses, causing damages and spreading panic among house owners, especially children.
During the predawn raid, forces detained Ramzi Sweidan, 26, and his brother, Yousuf, 17.
Meanwhile in Nablus district, forces detained a Palestinian during a raid into Iraq Burin village, southwest of the city.
WAFA reported head of the village council, Maher Qa'dan, as saying that forces detained Jaser Qadus, 22, whose brother, Malek, had been detained about a week ago.
To the south of Nablus, in Ramallah district, forces interrogated and detained a Palestinian woman in a raid into Nabi Saleh village, northwest of Ramallah.
She was identified as Manal Tamimi, a local prominent activist.
During the predawn raid, forces reportedly ransacked Tamimi's family house and confiscated all mobiles and cameras.
To the south of Ramallah, in Jerusalem district, large Israeli troops stormed several houses and detained three Palestinians from Abu Dis town, south of the city.
Troops reportedly broke and wreaked havoc into several houses and detained Amir Jaffal, a former detainee, Ahmad Erekat, and his brother, Mahmoud.
Meanwhile, in Bethlehem district, south of Jerusalem, forces detained Mahmoud Taqatqa, 18, and his relative, Awni, 13, during a predawn raid into Beit Fajjar town, south of the city.
During the raid, forces broke into and ransacked a bakery.
This came several hours after a Palestinian from the Beit Jala neighborhood of al-Jadawel was summoned to intelligence.
Islam Hawarish, 27, was handed a notice ordering him to appear before intelligence in Gush Etzion detention and interrogation center.
In the meantime, forces detained a Palestinian and summoned another from Hebron district, south of Bethlehem.
WAFA reported a spokesperson for the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Ummar, Muhammad Awad, as saying that forces raided the town , north of Hebron, where they detained Jehad Muqbil, 18, after breaking into his family house.
Muqbil, added Awad, was transferred to Karmei Tzur settlement, south of the town.
During the raid, forces stormed the family house of Ayesh Abu Hashim, seeking to detain his son, Malek, 13, who was out of the house.
This came as forces summoned a Palestinian from Massafer Yatta, south of the city.
Fadi Shamisli, who works with an international organization implementing reconstruction projects in the town, was handed a notice ordering him to appear before intelligence.
