Israeli warplanes Thursday at dawn targeted several locations in the besieged Gaza Strip and left one Palestinian elderly and three children moderately to critically injured, reported WAFA correspondent.
An F16 warplane shelled a blacksmith workshop that belongs to the family of Ayman Hasanin in al-Zaytoun neighborhood, east of Gaza, injuring the 65-year-old father Hasan Hasanin with shrapnel in the hand and shoulder.
Another three children were also injured with shrapnel as a result to the shelling of the same blacksmith workshop. They were transferred to al-Shifa Hospital with their injuries described as moderate to critical.
Israeli warplanes also shelled an empty plot of land in al-Surani area, east of Gaza city, creating a deep hole in the area and spreading panic among children.
Another shelling targeted a location in the town of Beit Lahia with two missiles, which resulted in the complete destruction of the location and a large fire. No injuries were reported however.
Israeli warplanes have also targeted more than four locations including the Gaza international airport and another location near a crossing northwest of Rafah.
According to WAFA correspondent in Gaza, Israeli warplanes continue to fly over the strip while Israeli tanks and artillery continue to occasionally cross over into the border land especially east of Gaza and Rafah.
