Ramallah - Arab Today
The Israeli prisons' administration is escalating measures against Palestinian detainees who are on hunger strike, the head of the Palestinian Prisoners' Club said Wednesday.
Most of those detainees have been placed in solitary confinement and others with criminals, Qodwa Fares told MENA.
Fares dismissed as untrue claims by the Israeli prisons' authority that it had lifted a ban on lawyer visits to the detainees who went on hunger strike. Lawyer visits are only allowed in Ofer prison near Ramallah, he noted.
This move is meant to prevent any form of communication with the detainees, Fares said.
