Israeli occupation authorities decided on Tuesday to halt the import and export of gold to and from the Gaza Strip.

Israeli authorities had allowed the importation and exportation of gold in Gaza Strip in February after eight-year halt, head of border crossings for the Palestinian Authority Nazmi Mehana said in a statement. 

However, we were informed that the import and exportat of the valuable metal here was stopped, he added.
