Cairo - MENA
Egypt criticized on Thursday an Israeli decision to build more settlement units in occupied West Bank.
Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Badr Abdel Aati said this decision will scuttle the Middle East peace talks based on the two-state solution and the internationally-recognized policies.
Such decisions violate the rules of international law and UN resolutions, he said.
Abdel Aati slammed also the recurrent Israeli storming of al Aqsa mosque, calling for protecting Islamic and Christian holy places in East Jerusalem.
