The US and coalition military continued to attack ISIL terrorists in Syria using attack, fighter, bomber and remotely piloted aircraft to conduct nine airstrikes, the Combined Joint Task Force announced.
They also conducted 11 airstrikes in Iraq using attack, fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL terrorists, the announcement said. All strikes took place between 8 am Friday and 8 am Saturday local time, it said.
In Syria near Kobani, four airstrikes destroyed two Daesh tactical units and four Daesh fighting positions; near Al Hasakah, three airstrikes struck three Daesh tactical units and destroyed three Daesh vehicles; near Tal Hamis, one airstrike struck an Daesh tactical unit and destroyed an Daesh vehicle; and near Aleppo, one airstrike struck two Daesh tactical units and destroyed an Daesh HQ building, the statement said.
In Iraq near Al Asad, four airstrikes struck a large Daesh tactical unit, an Daesh tactical unit, destroyed four Daesh fighting positions and an Daesh vehicle; near Sinjar, two airstrikes struck an Daesh tactical unit, destroyed one Daesh building, damaged another, and destroyed an Daesh vehicle and damaged another; near Mosul, three airstrikes destroyed an Daesh mortar and an Daesh fighting position; near Fallujah, one airstrike destroyed an Daesh humvee and an Daesh front-end loader; and near Al Huwayjah, one airstrike destroyed an Daesh tactical unit, the statement said.
