Immediate deportation is a decisive measure to be taken against traders of spoilt food traders, a senior Interior Ministry official said on Sunday.
Ministry Undersecretary Lieutenant General Suleiman Al-Fahad said in a meeting he presided over today that deterrent measures would be taken against violators. He stressed that "no one is above the law" when the health and safety of people, citizens and residents alike, are considered.
Acting Director General of Kuwait Municipality Ahmad Al-Manfouhi attended the meeting.
Al-Fahad noted that the Ministry and the Kuwait Municipality would launch a campaign against spoilt food.
The campaign will focus on individuals and companies that have a record in spoilt food trade and incorrect food storage in private houses seeking to twist the law, he pointed out.
Coordination between the Ministry and the relevant emergency teams is a major element of the plan, he vowed.
