Audit Bureau President Mostafa Barari

The fight against financial and administrative corruption is a collective national responsibility in which official monitoring entities, civil society institutions and media are stakeholders, said Audit Bureau president Mostafa Barari.
Speaking at the opening of an anti-corruption workshop on Sunday, he said enhancing the national integrity system would effectively curb financial and administrative corruption and will also eventually boost economic reforms. He said monitoring bodies were undertaking an integrated task to protect public money and bolster accountability.
Barari said the Royal Committee for Enhancing National Integrity held a meeting last week to discuss "mechanisms and work plans" forwarded by various entities to carry out their own projects listed in the executive plan of the National Integrity System.
During the workshop, 80 civil servants from various government institutions will discuss a host of anti-corruption topics to enhance the fight against corruption and protect public money.
