Dakota Fanning

Former child star  says she couldn't personally relate to her The Last of Robin Hood character's relationship with her fame-seeking mother.
Co-written and -directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, the big-screen drama is about the controversial relationship between cinematic swashbuckler Errol Flynn and his teenage girlfriend, aspiring actress Beverly Aadland.
Kevin Kline plays Flynn, the Australian star of the classic adventure movies The Adventures of Robin Hood, They Died with Their Boots On, The Charge of the Light Brigade, Dodge City and Captain Blood. Fanning plays Aadland, a young beauty who appeared in one of his last films, Cuban Rebel Girls, and who was with him when he died of a heart attack in 1959 at the age of 50. Sarandon plays Aadland's ambitious stage mother Florence.
"I don't have any experience with stage mothers," Fanning, 20, declared during a recent New York roundtable interview with reporters. "My mom was not... The main difference was Susan's character is totally forcing Beverly to be an actress and Beverly just doesn't really have any desire and she doesn't care one way or another and, with me, it was just the opposite. My mom was like: 'I'm ready to go home. If you don't want to do this anymore, you don't have to. We can go home to Georgia.' When we were in L.A., and I was like: 'No, I want to stay. I like it!'"
The Last of Robin Hood is in theaters now. Fanning is best known for her work in the films I Am Sam, War of the Worlds and Man on Fire, as well as the Twilight franchise.
