Veteran Egyptian actor Yehia El-Fakharany expressed his sorrow to “Arab Today” for the death of many of his colleagues during the last two years, starting from the death of the prominent actor “Nour El-Sherif”, then the death of the legendary actor “Mahmoud Abdel Aziz”, whom “Fakharany” befriended during shooting the movie “execution of dead” or “Ea’dam Mayet”.
 
Fakharany revealed that he broke in tears when he heard that the prominent actress “Kareema Mokhtar” kicked the bucket earlier this month, saying that the late actress treated him always as a son, and she had a massive talent allowed her to get along with any role offered to her.
 
However “Fakharany” said that he went through some happy moments in 2016, such as his return to the theatre through the play “One thousand and one Nights”, also he was given an award of merit by Cairo Film Festival to honor his art career.
 
Fakharany told ‘Arab Today” that he has the play “One thousand and one nights” viewed in Alexandria city, where he met some of the college students, revealing that he have recommended to have the tickets prices reduced for the students, as he believes that the youth should be close to the art scene as they represent the future.
 
Fakharny denied the rumors say that he mocked the Egyptian poor, he pointed out that his statements about the current high prices called the Egyptians to organize their lifestyle and manage their finance.
 
Fakharany said that he focuses on reading the scenarios offered to him to make sure the shooting will not be delayed for any reasons, adding that he meets up with all the cast before the shooting process to exchange opinions, as there is no such a thing called dictatorship in art work.
 
About the conditions that should be exist in the new faces looking to act beside him, Fakharany said that the new actor/actress must be talented, cause if he or she is not, he makes sure to exclude the actor as he feels he was nominated through “nepotism”.
 
The seasoned actor told Arab today that the series “Mohammed Ali” which he planned to star was halted for production reasons, also he abstained from starring the series “King Farouk” cause of the age difference between him and the late king during his life.
 
Fakharany told Arab Today that he enjoys sitting and spending time with his grand children from both his sons “Tarek” and “Shady”.
