Egyptian actor Asser Yassin advised media sources to take Arabstoday as their model in checking the accuracy of the news they publish. Asser Yassin condemned some news agencies and some websites which insist on relying on views which are publish on fake online accounts using his name, especially after denying to “Arabstoday” to have any of these accounts several days ago. Asser explained that these websites and agencies: “Apply the perspective and views that the website or the newspaper has,” explaining that many of these websites know well that these accounts are fake "but they depend on it to justify their criticism of the Muslim Brotherhood and blame the artist or vice versa." "There are some sites that convey support by some artists of the Muslim Brotherhood to apply their perspectives using their popularity until an artist denies these statements and the issue sparks much confusion." “I want to say a message through your website “Arabstoday” to the media to be sure of their information and use of an artists’ name and to be sure to verify these accounts before conveying the information to people as Arabstoday did. Asser Yassin denied through Arabstoday to have any relation with the news published quoting fake accounts in his name on social media websites. The Egyptian actor participated in his Ramadan drama series “el-Baltagy” (The Thug). The series features Kinda Allouch, Sami al-Adl, Salwa Khataab and Rehab el-Gamal. The series is written by Osama Nour el-Din and directed by Hisham Okasha.
