Former President, Michel Sleiman, on Wednesday categorically stressed the paramount need to activate the plan for the return of the Syrian refugees to their homeland, deprecating the political power's discounting of constitutional deadlines.


Sleiman stressed that the Lebanese consensus forms the strongest weapon in the face of any "fait accompli" attempt to be imposed on Lebanon by various means.


"Such a consensus must be endorsed and fortified to secure the safe return of Syrians to their homeland," Sleiman said.


The former President met today respectively with British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hugo Shorter, and Moroccan Ambassador, Mohammed Karin
