MP Salim Salhab said in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon radio station that the return of the electricity tender back to square one is a setback for the whole government, and not for the Free Patriotic Movement through its Minister Caesar Abi Khalil.
"This gives an impression to the public opinion that obstacles are impeding the work of the government and preventing it from making achievements," he said.
"Syria is the only door for Lebanon to the Arab countries, and I hope that all the media momentum witnessed by this visit will be reflected on the ground," he said, commenting on ministers' visit to Damascus.
He called for "taking into account the Syrian electricity offer if it is productive and beneficial to the Lebanese State
