Premier stresses keenness on boosting citizens' welfare

His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa described boosting citizens’ welfare as a strategic trend, promoting security and stability as a goal and building a strong society as an end. “Nothing will distract us from achieving the aspirations of our citizens for better living standards and growth,” he said, stressing that hard work, accomplishment and countering challenges with determination will remain characteristic features of the current phase.
HRH the Premier was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today the intelligentsia, businessmen and citizens. He discussed with them local issues as well as regional and international developments, stressing that the royal directives to boost citizens’ welfare are the government’s approach in its efforts to cater for citizens’ aspirations.

HRH the Prime Minister underlined the government’s keenness to reach out to the needs of all villages and regions in Bahrain through continuous follow-up and by directing ministers to pay field visits to assess citizens’ needs for various services and implement projects to optimise them. He also stressed the government’s keenness to further improve health services, including setting up health centres and hospitals with cutting edge technologies to provide high standard services.

HRH the Premier emphasised the government’s efforts to promote the tourism sector and Bahrain’s rich civilisational and historical heritage to increase the tourism and recreational facilities and lure investments. He called to boost Bahrain’s standing as a pioneering country in investment and commerce in the region, stressing the government’s ongoing efforts to invigorate the economy and encourage businessmen and investors to carry out major development projects.

HRH the Prime Minister hailed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, in serving pilgrims and facilitating performance of the Haj rituals, stressing Saudi Arabia's pioneering role in serving Islam and Muslims.
