The parliamentary committee on Arab affairs, under MP Saad el Gamal, called for activating the Arab role to stop bloodshed in the Arab territories, find political solutions and urge the conflicting parties to negotiate.
The meeting was attended by the Foreign Minister Assistant for Arab Affairs Tarek Adel and Political Adviser for the Arab League (AL) Secretary General Talal el Amin.
The committee underlined that the military option will not achieve security or stability in Yemen because of its geographical nature as well as the diversity of the Yemeni people.
The committee highlighted Al Azhar's role in preserving the Yemeni identity as well as importance of the security in Gulf countries, Red Sea area and the Saudi Arabia which constitute red lines for the Egyptian national security.
The panel hailed the role played Kuwait in finding peaceful solutions for the Yemeni crisis and sending humanitarian aid by Egypt to the violence-hit country.
It also demanded the AL to provide humanitarian aid to the Yemenis.
