Head of the Islamic Shiite Supreme Council, Sheikh Abdel Amir Kabalan, said in his message on the occasion of Prophet Mohammad's birthday, that unity distances the country from conflicts.
"Leaders must maintain political stability after the temporary crisis through which Lebanon went. We have managed to overcome this crisis with the wisdom of President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, and Speaker of the Parliament, Nabih Berri," he said, calling on all leaders to make the necessary efforts and conduct further consultations so as to reach agreements.
Sheikh Kabalan emphasized the importance of solidarity and cooperation for anchoring the concept of conviviality.
"The government must hold the legislative after the elaboration of the new electoral law," he said.
At the regional level, he urged Arabs and Muslims to cooperate to end the war in Syria and Yemen, and bring justice to the Bahraini people. Arab leaders must lead to a political solution to crises
