Amman - KUNA
Seventy Jordanian activists headed to the Gaza Strip in a convoy aimed at supporting the Palestinians who are suffering from an injustice blockade imposed by Israel since 2007, said a source here Saturday. Convoy coordinator Khafah Amairah told KUNA before their departure that the team would help deliver relief aid and medical supplies worth USD 700,000, adding that the convoy also would be supporting around 30 development projects in the Gaza Strip. The convoy would be coordinating with Egyptian authorities to help facilitate the delivery of the cargo, noted the Jordanian official, adding that USD 140,000 would be used to provide medical treatment.
