If only Daesh had received fair punishment," Future Parliamentary bloc MP Ammar Houry told the Voice of Lebanon radio on Monday.
The lawmaker regretted the fact that Daesh was escaping punishment after declaring the death of eight Lebanese Army hostages.
"The state is the sole protector of the nation, especially that the Lebanese Army has proven to be capable of defending Lebanon," Houry added.
In response to Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil's statement that the resistance does not contradict with state interests, Houry pushed for exclusive state authority.
"We will not negotiate this with any partnership that doesn't render arms solely in the hands of the state," he added
