MP Boutros Harb said in an interview with the Voice of Lebanon 100.3-100.5 radio station that "the cabinet's decree to form an Elections Supervision Commission falls within the context of the government's duties to implement the electoral law," considering that the problem lies in the practicality of the law that has been approved and the possibility of amending certain articles therein.

"If we are serious about holding the elections, we must go back on the magnetic card theory and vote by ID or passport, which is the safest option," he said, adding that "if there were no prior registration of voters, the Interior Ministry would not be able to control the electoral process
