Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the operator and managing body of Bahrain International Airport (BIA), received a visit from Bahrain Polytechnic’s Logistics major students at the airport’s premises. This visit was a part of an Economic Development Board (EDB) awareness campaign aimed at providing students with the opportunity to explore the cargo and logistics sector in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The students were given a presentation by Khaled AlNemah, Cargo and Logistics Business Development Officer detailing BAC’s role in supporting the cargo and logistics sector. The students also went on a tour of the cargo terminal, which was organised in coordination with Bahrain Airport Services (BAS), the ground handler operator at BIA.

BAC is the authority responsible for enhancing BIA and increasing the airport’s contribution to the local economy in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030. In its operational role, BAC is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of stakeholders.
