Arab League welcomes majority of votes against Trump's Jerusalem decision

Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, Arab League Secretary-General, has welcomed the majority of votes at the UN's General Assembly against the US decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel's capital.

In a press statement issued late Thursday, the Arab League Secretary-General said, "The vote represents the international community's support to Palestine's rights in terms of the international law."

He noted that the Arab League will hold meetings to discuss means of safeguarding the international vote against President Donald Trump's decision.
