The Arab League Council at the ministerial level has welcomed Egypt's request to host the Euro-Arab Summit in the first quarter of 2018.

The Council emphasised the importance of strengthening strategic and cooperative relations between the two sides.

This came as part of a plan signed between the EU and the Arab League on the necessity of pursuing the implementation of all steps aimed at developing the institutional cooperation between the two sides.
