Arab League Council

The 147th session of the Arab League Council kicked off here on Tuesday at the foreign ministerial level under the chairmanship of Algeria.

Attending the meetings are Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit and the Arab foreign ministers or their representatives.

The Arab top diplomats are taking up an agenda of 30 items including the Arab-Israeli conflict and the Israeli violations in al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) along with Israel's theft of Arab water.

They will also discuss the files of Syria, Libya, Yemen and Iraq along with the Iranian and Turkish interference in the Arab affairs.

The Arab foreign ministers will review also the dangers of Israeli armament on the Arab national security and international peace together with means of fighting terrorism and supporting peace and development in Sudan.
