The Alexandria Port Authority on Wednesday decided to re-open the Alexandria and Dekheila straits as weather improved.

The two straits were closed on Tuesday due to bad weather and high wind velocity.

The decision was meant to prevent any collision of ships, said Chairman of the Alexandria Port Authority Medhat Attiya.
