Secretary General of the Arab League, Ahmed Abul Gheit, maintained that nobody wanted to harm Lebanon, in remarks made following his meeting with President Michel Aoun at Baaba palace on Monday.
Abul Gheit said that he explained to his host "the circumstances" that had led to the Arab League's fresh resolution during its urgent meeting in Cairo yesterday.
"The resolution was adopted by the committee formed by the AL over the Iranian question, and which includes Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, and the UAE," the AL Chief explained.
"I have sensed understanding of the Lebanese configuration, and nobody wants to harm Lebanon," he stressed.
As to the resolution's touching on a party in Lebanon, Abul Gheit said: "This is not something new
