Vladimir Smicer believes Liverpool will have no trouble putting the FA Cup final to the back of their minds and highlighted the importance of ending the Barclays Premier League campaign on a high. The Reds will face West Brom, Norwich and Fulham before taking on Chelsea in next month\'s showpiece event at Wembley. It\'s a situation Smicer is familiar with, having reached end-of-season cup finals with Liverpool in 2001 and 2005 - and he believes building on Saturday\'s semi-final victory over Everton and gaining momentum in the league is the best possible way to gear up for their last trip to Wembley on May 5. \"Beating Everton was a massive boost,\" Smicer told Liverpoolfc.tv. \"We know every game against Everton is important for the fans and for the confidence of the team. \"It can be difficult to put the Cup final to the back of your mind, but Liverpool will want to finish the league season strongly. \"Every game is important at Liverpool. A final is a final and a massive game, but Liverpool can use the league matches as the ideal preparation for the Cup final. \"If we play well in the next few games and get a few wins, we\'ll head into the final in a good position. \"It\'s important to build momentum and we have to carry on from Saturday\'s late winner in the league.\" Smicer was speaking to Liverpoolfc.tv in Brunei, where he is part of a Reds legends team that will compete in two Masters tournaments this weekend. First up, the Anfield oldboys will play a six-a-side comeptition against Manchester United and the Premier League All-Stars in Brunei on Saturday, before doing battle once again on Sunday in Kuala Lumpur. \"I\'m very happy to be here again,\" said Smicer. \"It\'s nice to see all the players again and remember old times and I\'m sure this year will be the same again. It\'s always a privilege to wear the Liverpool shirt. \"We had a good team last year and thought we would win at least one of the tournaments, but we finished third in both. \"I am confident we can do better this year and we\'ll be aiming to win for the fans out here.\"
