The former international star held nothing back in a stinging attack on Mano Menezes and fears that if things don\'t change, World Cup humiliation on home soil is almost inevitable.Brazilian football legend Romario has launched a fierce attack on the current Selecao under Mano Menezes, and supported Flamengo coach Joel Santana as a much better option on the bench than the incumbent. The 1994 World Cup winner has never held back when passing comment on either the national team or the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF), and likened Ricardo Teixeira\'s resignation from the governing body\'s presidency as equivalent to removing a cancer. But speaking to O Dia on Wednesday, the parliamentary deputy was blunter than ever as he strongly criticised Menezes and the Brazil team two years before they host the World Cup.\"The current team is s**t, it would be tough even to get past the first round of the World Cup,\" Romario fired.\"Even the CBF president [Jose Maria Marin] has said that 2014\'s Brazil coach cannot be the same one as today\'s. There have to be results. We still have two years to prepare so that we don\'t suffer total humiliation.\"The former Barcelona and PSV striker was equally colourful in backing his favoured candidate, Joel Santana, who some in Brazil have criticised for his traditional approach to coaching.\"I do not see it that way. Is it because he still uses a clipboard? There are plenty of people with laptops now, who still do a load of s**t and their teams lose,\" he added, alluding to Menezes\' fondness for technology.Romario played a total of 70 games for Brazil, and with 55 goals only Pele and Ronaldo have hit the net more times in the Canarinha.
