Sanaa - Ali Rabea
Yemen\'s President Hadi arrived to Qatar\'s capital Doha on Monday evening to participate in the Arab League Summit, which kicked off Tuesday. In a statement, the president affirmed that the Arab summit was highly important due to the “complex circumstances” of many Arab countries. He stressed the need to find appropriate solutions for the various difficulties Arabs were facing. Hadi pointed out that he will brief Arab leaders on the progress of the political settlement in Yemen, under the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, during the summit. Sources close to the president told Arabstoday that Hadi will also be holding talks with Saudi Crown Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz — on the sidelines of the summit — to discuss his country\'s access to Saudi financial support to cover the deficit in the state budget, as well as talks regarding the foreign labour law issued by Saudi Arabia. The recent amendments to the law will affect more than 90% of Yemenis who are currently working in Saudi. Additional sources: Saba Net
