Sanaa - Arab Today
Houthi gunmen stormed early Saturday the building of the General Authority for Social Security and Pensions (GASSP) in Sanaa to forcefully appoint a Houthi chairman for the authority.
Up to 20 militants are besieging GASSP building, while Houthi leader Abdel Salam al Mahtory entered the building and trying to takeover the authority, sources were quoted by Sky News as saying.
Recently, Houthi militants have hired a pro-Saleh head for the GASSP, drawing the ire of the employees who refused to work under the Houthi leadership.
Meanwhile, scores of Houthi militants were killed by airstrikes and clashes with Yemeni forces in Midi, local sources said.
