Unidentified gunmen killed a chieftain from the Yemeni governorate of Maareb, in the capital Sanaa, on Tuesday.
Eyewitnesses said the gunmen who used a motorbike in the assassination process opened fire on the head of Sheikh Faisal al-Sherif killing him on the spot and fled the scene.
