Clashes in Yemen

Two tribal gunmen were killed and another wounded in clashes with the army troops in Ma'reb, north Yemen, on Monday, the Ministry of Defense said.
The clashes erupted when saboteurs resisted the regular troops who were trying to reopen the Ma'reb-Sanaa road which was blocked by the saboteurs in Al-Argin and Bin Talan areas, according to a ministry statement.
The army units, belonging to the Infantry Brigade 107 and Mechanized Brigade 14, managed to reopen the road, free oil and gas tankers from the tribal gunmen, and force the other gunmen to flee the scene, the statement said.
The Ministry reaffirmed resolve to face up to any law violators, terrorists or saboteurs and any hostile acts targeting the public utilities, including the power grids, and oil and gas pipelines.
