Seven Houthi militants have been killed and nine others wounded in clashes with Yemeni troops and resistance elements in Taiz.

Three resistance elements were killed in the face-off, the media center of the military council said Monday.

Seven civilians were also wounded in random raids by militias on residential areas in Taiz.

Five more civilians were killed and 10 others injured in an explosion of a mine planted by the Houthi and Saleh militias on the road between Maareb and al Baydaa governorates.

A bus, meanwhile, exploded Friday night in al Abediya directorate in southern Maareb, wounding a number of persons.
